 Five attorneys from the law firm of Laddey, Clark & Ryan LLP. have been named as “Super Lawyers” and “Rising Stars” by their peers. Attorneys Thomas Ryan, Andrew Fraser and William Knox were listed as “Super Lawyers.”  Attorneys Lauren Fraser and Ursula Leo were listed as “Rising Stars.”

 New Jersey Monthly magazine released its list of the top lawyers in the state, as recognized by their peers. The selection process is long and vigorous, surveying over 35,000 practicing New Jersey attorneys who nominate the best lawyers they have personally seen in action. A special blue ribbon panel reviews each candidate’s background including verdicts, honors, scholarly lectures, clients, community service and other professional activities.

 “The biggest compliment one can get is to be recognized and appreciated by not only other attorneys in your field of law but also by your adversaries,” says Ryan. “ To have so many attorneys from our law firm make the list each year tells me we are doing something right.”

 Tom Ryan specializes in Employment and Labor Law, Commercial Litigation and Municipal Law. Ryan was named a “Super Lawyer” for the fourth time in the National Corporate Counsel Edition of Super Lawyers.

 This year marks Andrew Fraser’s sixth consecutive year of being recognized as a “Super Lawyer”. Fraser leads the Personal Injury Practice Group and represents plaintiffs in complex personal injury litigation involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death, auto accidents, slip and falls, and Workers’ Compensation matters.

 Although this is William Knox’s first year as an attorney with Laddey, Clark & Ryan, he is no stranger to the Super Lawyers list. Knox, who has over 30 years of experience as a Workers’ Compensation trial attorney, was Senior Staff Counsel for New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company. Knox heads the Workers’ Compensation Practice Group at the Firm, as well as handling estate and probate matters.

Lauren Fraser, a Rising Star since 2008, also specializes in plaintiff’s personal injury cases and has extensive trial experience. As a trial team, Fraser and Fraser obtained two of the largest jury verdicts for personal injury cases in Sussex County history. Lauren was named in 2009 as NJ Herald’s 20 under 40 Rising Stars, a group of outstanding business and community leaders.

 This is Ursula Leo’s first time on the list as a “Rising Star.”  Leo specializes in Municipal Law, Zoning and Land Use, Employment and Labor Law and Litigation. Leo has experience in representing individuals, corporate clients, municipalities and boards in land use meetings, hearings and other aspects of municipal and land use litigation.
