Attorneys Timothy E. Dinan and Renata A. Mizak have become Shareholders in Laddey, Clark & Ryan, LLP, announced Managing Partner Thomas N. Ryan.

Tim Dinan is Co-Practice Leader of the Firm’s Personal Injury Practice. The practice focuses on helping people who have been injured. Tim is involved in every personal injury case in the office. He is accomplished in all aspects of personal injury law, having won some of the largest personal injury verdicts in the state.

Tim joined the Firm in 2010, and, along with fellow Shareholder Andrew Fraser, is responsible for the Personal Injury Practice. He also chairs the firm’s Litigation Section, overseeing the coordination of the Firm’s diverse litigation practices.

Tim has handled cases ranging from standard automobile collisions to construction accidents to products liability claims to mine collapses. In his cases, his focus is on the individual stories of the clients and his efforts to provide them the tools and skills they need to effectively communicate how much their lives have been altered as a result of their injuries. Over the course of his career, Tim has helped clients obtain over $50 million in verdicts and settlements.

Tim is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney, one of the youngest in Northwest New Jersey. Attorneys are designated as “Certified Trial Attorneys” by the New Jersey Supreme Court if they demonstrate superior levels of experience, education, knowledge and skill in a specific area of law or practice, pass a rigorous examination and have been endorsed by their peers.

In 2021, Tim was named one of NJBIZ's "Forty under 40" honorees. Previously, he was recognized by The New Jersey Law Journal as a “New Leader of the Bar.” He has also twice been inducted into the New Jersey Personal Injury Hall of Fame.

Renata Mizak is Practice Leader of Laddey, Clark & Ryan’s Wills, Trusts and Estates Practice Group, and the Elder Law Practice Group.

Renata’s Practice includes Estate & Tax Planning, Estate Administration, Estate and Trust Litigation, Elder Law & Care Planning, Medicaid, Guardianships, Special Needs and Disability Law. She assists individuals in creating estate plans – consisting of wills, trusts, powers of attorney and healthcare directives – while minimizing estate taxation. She also represents:

·         Executors and administrators in administering estates for deceased individuals

·         Trustees in administering trusts for grantors and beneficiaries

·         Fiduciaries under a Power of Attorney, Healthcare Directive, Guardianship or Conservatorship, in understanding and carrying out their legal and fiduciary obligations

·         Beneficiaries of estates and trusts, in understanding their rights and interests; and Individuals who were wronged and require representation as litigants.   For elderly clients, Renata assists in establishing long-term care plans with asset preservation, and helps clients navigate through the Medicaid application process.   She also assists individuals who are incapacitated or developmentally disabled, as well as individuals who seek to be appointed as Guardians for such individuals.
