PRESS RELEASELOCAL ATTORNEY SET TO SPEAK AT MAJOR NJ CONFERENCE June, 2009 Sparta, NJ --- Michael Garofalo, Esq., an attorney at Laddey, Clark & Ryan of Sparta, NJ has been asked to speak at the Association of Municipal Tax Assessors of New Jersey annual convention in Atlantic City. Garofalo will be presenting the convention with a review of recent New Jersey Tax Court decisions. In 2007 Garofalo won a landmark decision regarding farmland tax assessment. He argued that a property used as farmland may be taxed as residential property if a portion of that property is used for non-farming commercial purposes. Additionally, his experience in representing the Townships of Wantage, Montague, Sparta and Walpack on tax appeals enables Garofalo to share his expertise with the public and private tax assessors of New Jersey. "It is a great honor to share my knowledge of tax law with professionals state wide", says Garofalo.
