Attorney Tom Ryan Speaks About Employment Issues

Thomas N. Ryan was a featured speaker recently at two seminars dealing with employment issues. Ryan, chair of LADDEY, CLARK & RYAN’s Labor and Employment Practice Group, spoke to the New Jersey Department of Labor Professional Services Group. His topic was The Legal Pitfalls of Hiring and Firing in New Jersey. Ryan spoke to the group regarding state and federal employment laws that impact the job application process, interviewing, hiring, evaluating, and firing. He also spoke at Sussex County Chamber of Commerce’s Human Resources Development seminar held at Sussex County Community College. His topic was Legal Issues of Discipline and Termination. He spoke about disciplinary processes, supervisor training, documentation and the termination process.

Ryan, who is Managing Partner at LADDEY, CLARK & RYAN, is a Master in the Sydney Reitman Employment Law Inn of Court. He is a former President of the Sussex County Bar Association, and concentrates his practice on labor and employment issues. In addition to a law degree from Seton Hall University, Ryan earned a Master’s Degree from Harvard University, where he studied labor relations. He has served as President of the Mountain Lakes Board of Education and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Mountain Lakes Educational Foundation. He is also President of the Lakers Sports Club.
