Jessica Jansyn Named to Board of Directors for Somerset Hills Riding Center

Jessica A. Jansyn, an attorney at Laddey, Clark & Ryan of Sparta, NJ, has been named to the Somerset Hills Handicapped Riding Center Board of Directors.
Somerset Hills Handicapped Riding Center (SHHRC), located in Oldwick, New Jersey, is a non-profit charitable organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with physical, developmental, emotional and medical challenges. The center uses equine-related activities such as horseback riding, equine assisted therapy and education to assist individuals with disabilities. The center is designated a Premier Center by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (formerly NARHA). Jansyn began as a volunteer in 2001 and worked as a barn staff member from 2006 to 2010.
“I am looking forward to serving this organization which has helped so many individuals with physical and developmental challenges,” says Jansyn. “Having volunteered for the organization for so many years, I have been able to able to see first hand how the program has helped so many people and made such a difference in their lives and the lives of their families.”
SHHRC was founded in 1972, at a private farm using three horses to begin a therapeutic riding program. Through significant community support, the organization was able to purchase its own farm and add additional services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.
“I am proud to support SHHRC and their wonderful programs,” adds Jansyn. “I am looking forward to using my years of experience with the program to help ensure its future success.”
