Laddey, Clark & Ryan To Serve as General Counsel to the Municipal Clerks' Association of New Jersey

Laddey, Clark & Ryan, LLP has been retained by the Municipal Clerks’ Association of New Jersey (MCANJ) to act as general legal counsel in the coming year.  Former state bar president and firm partner Thomas H. Prol, Esq. will oversee the day-to-day legal work with MCANJ.

Founded in 1927, MCANJ is made up of municipal clerks around New Jersey, and provides education and training to help members serve the state’s residents.  Laddey, Clark & Ryan has a 30-year history of practicing municipal law on the local and county levels, and their attorneys have served as counsel to municipalities, land use boards, and Boards of Education.

The firm’s Municipal Law Practice Group has extensive experience handling all aspects of municipal representation including drafting ordinances, preparing bid specifications and contracts, responding to Open Public Records Act requests, defending tax appeals, advising public entities on new changes in the law,  and defending municipalities and their residents before state and federal courts.  In addition to addressing day-to-day operational legal questions, the Municipal Law group has experience with a wide variety of matters that include challenges to land use applications, eminent domain proceedings, tax appeals and constitutional challenges to municipal actions.
