SPARTA, June 27, 2017— Laddey, Clark & Ryan presented the eleventh annual Brian M. Laddey Memorial Scholarship, in memory of the firm’s founding partner to two Sparta, New Jersey students. Thomas Perretta from Pope John Regional High School and Benjamin Toscano from Sparta High School each received the $1,000 Brian M. Laddey Scholarship honoring Mr. Laddey and his commitment to public service.
The scholarship winners demonstrated aptitude, scholarship and initiative in areas that lead to public service careers. The recipients also exemplify leadership and dedication to community service.
“We were pleased to extend this award to these two exceptional students,” says Managing Partner Tom Ryan. “This scholarship represents the same spirit of giving exemplified by Brian Laddey. These two students have bright futures and deserve this recognition.”
The scholarship recipients, Thomas Perretta, and Benjamin Toscano are both graduating seniors. Peretta will be attending Emory University and Toscano will be attending Quinnipiac University.
The memorial scholarship was dedicated to Brian Laddey, who passed away in 2007. Laddey was a former Sussex County Prosecutor and Sparta Township Attorney, the latter for 25 years, as well as being a founding partner of the law firm of Laddey, Clark & Ryan, LLP.
