MaryBeth Zayac first came to Laddey Clark & Ryan in 2010, shortly after graduating summa cum laude from Ramapo College of New Jersey, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Law and Society with minors in Women’s Studies and Political Science. She had received the College’s presidential scholarship, obtained after being valedictorian of her high school class and being named a Bloustein Scholar.

MaryBeth’s initial job title was as receptionist for the firm. Within two years, senior partner Andrew Fraser recognized her dedication to the firm, its clients and interest in the law, and asked her to join the personal injury team as a legal secretary. Her commitment to her clients and interest in the law led her to take courses at Sussex County Community College to obtain her paralegal certification. She was promoted into a paralegal role within the personal injury department soon thereafter, and transitioned into a dual role to include workers' compensation.

In 2016, MaryBeth left the firm to explore other opportunities within the legal field. In the following years, her knowledge of the law expanded as she worked on legal teams in other practice areas, including general litigation, criminal, civil rights and others. She also worked in a medico-legal capacity for physicians, assisting with drafting reports and helping doctors learn how to best advocate for their patients. MaryBeth gained experience with the Appellate and Supreme Courts, and Federal Court as well. Her impact on teams through the years has successfully brought several deserving clients six, seven and eight-figure verdicts and settlements.

While she excelled and helped many people, when given the chance in 2024 to rejoin the personal injury team at Laddey, Clark & Ryan, to include Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation, she was overjoyed at the opportunity to return. She has always found this practice area to be the most rewarding, as she is able to help injured parties and their families in a very direct manner.

Her dedication to others and to the community continues outside of work. She volunteers as a board member on the Newton Board of Education, her daughter’s school district. She is also actively involved in St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

MaryBeth looks forward to using her unique blend of experience and her natural gift of empathy to help her clients and their loved ones find justice. From intake through trial and beyond, MaryBeth will support her clients throughout the entire process. In her words, "My clients are more than just files and numbers - they are people who deserve dignity, respect and the best possible representation. I'm committed to helping and supporting each and every one of my clients through every step of the process, helping them achieve the best possible result."
