Fred Knapp was recently appointed to the Morris County Bar Association Committee on Professionalism.

According to Committee Chair Kurt Krauss, “The Professionalism Committee arose from the directive of then Chief Justice Deborah Poritz in 1997. One of the Committee’s primary goals is to establish and maintain a professionalism education and counseling program designed to improve the conduct of attorneys. The Committee tries to inject professionalism into day-to-day activities and raise awareness of professionalism through education seminars and individual counseling of attorneys. Unlike the ethics system, neither the professionalism program nor the process it follows is disciplinary in nature. Rather, each component is intended to be educational and informal. It is also voluntary.
