NJBIZ magazine will be recognizing the 2022 Leaders in Law honorees in an event showcasing 50 legal professionals on May 24 at The Palace at Somerset Park. Among those honored will be Andrew A. Fraser, founder and co-practice leader of Laddey Clark & Ryan’s Personal Injury Practice Group.
Following an open nomination period, honorees were chosen by a panel of independent judges with experience in the justice system. The selections were legal professionals – lawyers and general counsel – whose dedication to their occupation and to their communities is outstanding, according to NJBIZ.
Andrew Fraser has 30 years of experience litigating personal injury cases, concentrating on cases involving permanent spine damage. Fraser has a record of significant verdicts, repeatedly obtaining million-dollar and multi-million-dollar verdicts. He built Laddey Clark & Ryan’s personal injury practice from the ground up, making it a premier personal injury practice in New Jersey.
Recognized by attorneys for his record of trial success, he has also handled ligation matters around the country.
Following the death of family members in an auto accident when he was a young lawyer, Fraser decided to represent those in similar situations. His empathy, and his focus on spending time with victims and their families, has given him a more organic connection with his clients – and with juries. Using neuroradiologists as gatekeepers, he can determine the most promising cases, letting him achieve unusually high settlements in disc herniation cases.
Fraser has also developed a concentration in catastrophic elevator failure cases, with recent verdicts of $2 million, $3.98 million and $8.1 million.
Fraser is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney and was inducted into The New Jersey Law Journal’s Hall of Fame for Personal Injury. He has been selected to the list of New Jersey Super Lawyers every year since 2006 and has been selected to the list of Best Lawyers in America since 2019. The National Trial Lawyers Association selected him as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in New Jersey. He is also a member of the International Society of Barristers.
