Day of Service Helps Community with Food Collection

On December 2, James Quiggle, a paralegal in the Personal Injury Department, along with several of his co-workers, completed a day of service on behalf of the firm collecting food at Stop & Shop for the Sparta Community Food Pantry. Laddey, Clark & Ryan raised $349 and collected ten full cartloads of groceries. The food will be given to needy families in Sussex County for use during the holiday season.

“I feel grateful to my firm for giving me the opportunity to help support the Sparta Community Food Pantry. It is such an important organization in our community. Some of my fondest childhood memories involve spending time with my family at Christmas. The fact that there are thousands of families out in my community who cannot afford to provide a meal during this season greatly saddens me. I’m happy to do my part in helping to ensure that as many people as possible can experience the warmth and love of the holiday. “

Laddey, Clark & Ryan Partner, Andrew Fraser, commented, “We are proud of James for the success of this effort and the impact it will have on so many people in need. When we hired James in 2015, we were looking for someone to assist our growing Personal Injury team in representing individuals and families whose lives have been changed after a serious injury through no fault of their own. James has become a vital part of that team and his passion to want to help others is evident in the work he does for this firm and out in the community.”

LCR’s Day of Service is part of a growing trend of corporate volunteer programs that engages employees by providing a meaningful and valuable experience that gives back to the community.
