Firm Will Work with NJ Court System to Usher in the Next Frontier of Civil Law Practice

We are pleased to announce that Laddey, Clark and Ryan is participating in an exciting new pilot project with the NJ Courts for electronic filing, known as “eCourts.”

eCourts is a web-based application that is designed to allow attorneys to electronically file documents with the courts. The NJ Judiciary’s plans for full implementation of eCourts in all trial court divisions are underway, and Laddey Clark & Ryan has agreed to test out this cutting-edge frontier in the law for civil matters.

LCR Managing Partner Thomas Ryan stated, “At Laddey Clark & Ryan, we are always looking to help our clients by staying ahead with the most current technological advances. We are honored to be working with the our state judiciary as they modernize the NJ court system, and are pleased to help them test out the next frontier of civil law practice in eCourts.”

The plan to modernize NJ’s court systems is built on the following four essential functionalities: Electronic filing and information exchange between the court and attorneys; the creation of an electronic filing system; the establishment of an electronic case jacket; the maintenance of an electronic records management system that provides both attorneys and the public with access to case information.
