On Tuesday, June 12 partner, Thomas N. Ryan presented scholarships as Secretary and Trustee of the 200 Club of Sussex County. The ceremonial dinner took place at the Mohawk House in Sparta, New Jersey. The scholarships were presented to nine young people who are family members to first responders. In Thomas Ryan’s own words “We went through 27 applications and these 9 students rose above and beyond”. Ryan, Chairman of the Scholarship Committee, also thanked the generous sponsors that supported the scholarships including: Franklin Mutual Insurance, the Knights of Columbus, Hudson Farms, and Steve Scro, owner of the Mohawk House.
The 200 Club of Sussex County is a non-profit charitable organization that provides assistance to the families of police, fire and emergency medical personnel whose lives were lost in the line of duty. The Club has been aiding this community since 1991, when it was founded.
