Shan graduated from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law where he was on the business law track. Shan developed his interest in tax as a student attorney in the University of Maryland's Low Income Taxpayer Clinic. His time in the Clinic was extended to serve as a teaching assistant.
Shan pursed his undergraduate studies at Loyola University Maryland where he received a B.B.A. in Finance and a minor in Information Systems. Shan graduated a member of the Financial Management Association National Honor Society.
Shan is a Trustee of the Sussex County Bar Association and a member of the Estate Planning Council of Northern New Jersey..
