Laddey Clark & Ryan has been pleased to welcome Elizabeth (“Liz”) Caldera as a summer associate, our first summer associate since the summer of 2013. Liz, a resident of Whippany and a graduate of the University of Maryland – with a B.A. in English Language and Literature, and a B.S. in Marketing -- has completed her second year at Seton Hall School of Law.  “I always knew I wanted to go to law school,” she says.  She is enjoying the experience at Laddey Clark & Ryan. “I wanted exposure to different practice areas.  It’s very hands-on.  I’m getting exposure to a variety of experiences.”  In particular, she notes, she is excited for the opportunity to experience a new kind of legal writing, as she advocates for clients.

As a summer associate, Liz has a wide variety of assignments, including legal research and writing, drafting legal documents, pleadings, discovery, and  attending trials, hearings, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, client conferences and closings.  All are intended to provide Liz an opportunity to learn and grow as a young legal professional.  The summer associate program is headed by attorneys Renata Mizak, Travis Nunziato and Meghan Steingall.
